Dr. Michael Jungkeit completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of CA at Davis. He then attended and graduated from the School of Medicine also at the University of CA at Davis. After enrolling in a surgical internship and a required two year surgical residency, he then completed a four year residency training in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California at Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. During medical school and his residency, he also completed independent research in the field of Otolaryngology.
Dr Jungkeit has been in practice in Poulsbo, WA since July 1, 1996. His patients admire and appreciate his medical knowledge and expertise, his personal care for them, and the integrity of his character.
His private practice offers Kitsap County and the Olympic Peninsula access to excellence in the diagnosis, medical management, and surgical treatment in the specialty of Otolaryngology and Facial Plastic Surgery. Referring providers have demonstrated complete confidence in his capabilities and knowledge. He has served the community in a wide variety of ways over many years.
Dr. Jungkeit is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology as well the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy and a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association. Dr. Jungkeit was selected as a Castle Connelly Top Doctor of the greater Seattle, WA area in 2017, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Dr. Jungkeit has provided medical services to many people in other countries as well. Since 2000, he has led teams nearly every year to provide medical and surgical care to the people of the Dominican Republic with Children of the Nations. He also serves on the board of Children of the Nations International.
